I enjoyed these podcasts. I especially like what you said about the variable and how taking that one assumed true variable out of the equation is what caused everything to make sense. It was the same for me. Like you, though, I had to work it out every other way first.
Yes, which is why I bristle when believers try to project on me reasons for leaving the faith. They often want to paint it as some form of disobedience, or unfaithfulness, or desire to "sin". On the contrary, as you say, most of the atheists I meet who have left a life of faith tried every avenue to stay in.
