Where all your answers are questioned...
I did! This was actually the first primary I had ever voted in. I was able to vote for Obama because I had never declared a party. My wife did not realize til yesterday that she was a republican. She was bummed that she didn't get to vote for him. Hopefully, next November she will be able to make up for that.
That was such a great speach, and it is a perfect example of why he is my favorite political candidate of my lifetime thus far. aside from any position he takes on any given issue (of which I surely disagree with him on a few), of primary and utmost importance to me is the way he enters the discussion in the first place - his respect for others and his ability to articulate his position in a way that welcomes discussion rather than trying to end it with "gotcha" one-liners that are aimed at shutting up the opposition. His understanding of democracy, and what "separation of church and state" really means just hits the spot for me. Whether he wins or not, I hope that his example can have a lasting effect on American discourse.of course, since he wasn't even on the ballot here in Michigan, I had to give my primary support to Ron Paul.Glad you were able to vote for him!
That was excellent; thanks.
Thanks for posting that, you mind telling me where you got the transcript at, I'd like to link it to my blog. Thanks
Great speech - I really enjoy this Barack as a speaker - I am so hoping he gets the Democratic nod - it would be nice to have someone this open-minded in the White House.
Matt - I got it from his site. I updated the blog to make the title of the speech below the video a link. I should have done that in the first place, thanks for the heads up.
