Merry Christmas!

We are having a good Christmas day here in the Hackman household. Uncle Lee is visiting from Michigan, and everything is more fun with Uncle Lee around.

We went to church last night and attended one service, and then worked the next. Good drama, music, and message. First rate stuff as always.

It snowed last night so we got a white Christmas.

The kids opened their presents with glee. The rest of the morning was spent with Kathryn, Jacob, Lee, and I chasing each other around in Halo 2. I had a moment of greatness. Uncle Lee was shooting at me from the ground and I couldn't get into a strafing position on my airborne banshee to take him out. With little life left, I leaped from the Banshee, landed on Lee, stuck a thermal grenade on him then dove for cover. It was glorious!

Later, Lee and I are going to see AVP II while my wife takes the kids to Alvin and the chipmunks.

However you spend this day, celebrating or not, I wish you the best for now and the coming new year!

Merry Christmas! Thanks for the comments and thanks for your blogs. I don't know about you, but I find myself spending more time reading blogs now than books. I like reading what people are experiencing and how they are navigating this thing called life.

How 'bout that snow huh? I was worried Utah wasn't going to have a white Christmas.

A belated Merry Christmas to you and a very Happy New Year!

Hey Kay,
Good to see you, I lost you after you shut down your other blog (this is the chaotic spirit, isn't it?). Glad to have you on my Google Reader again.

Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to you too. We enjoy the snow, but we definitely got a skewed view of Utah winter weather our first year out here a few years back. We did the First Night thing downtown in light jackets. We were amazed at the mild winter. It has been pretty cold here in January ever since. :)

I'm sorry I disappeared the way I did. I admit to being easily discouraged when it comes to spiritual matters and I have a tendency to hide when things get rocky. It's definitely something I'm working on.
