In the spirit of the season....

I encourage everyone reading this blog to buy, rent, or check out from the library "What Would Jesus Buy?" It is a documentary following the Reverend Billy and the Church of Stop Shopping Choir as they make a trek from New York to Disneyland. Along the way there is singing, preaching, and the exorcisms of shopping demons. Though approached with a humorous air, Reverend Billy gives a serious prophetic call to America.

Of particular note is an interview found in the deleted scenes of the DVD. A woman from China who was arrested for being a Christian and spent 6 years in a work camp is interviewed. I do not want to spoil her final revelation, but it left me stunned.

Go get the DVD and view it with friends. As the Reverend says, "Shop Less and Give More!"

UPDATE - For those of you in the Salt Lake area, WWJB will be playing at the

That movie is in a Netflix envelope in my den, right now. Plan to watch it this week.

Andrew. Do you believe that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior?

Just curious.

Hmmmm... to be honest Anon, I care very little if I am judged by you (since you are pasting that question throughout my comment sections) or by any human court; I don't even judge myself. I keep my conscience clear, but I know I am not innocent - the Lord will judge me. So I suggest you avoid all judging for now; wait till the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of people's hearts. At that time EVERYONE will receive his or her praise from God.

I am not judging you. I just asked a simple question.

Is Jesus Christ your Lord and Savior?

I disagree... I believe you are asking the question SO you can make a judgment... and I responded to that motive above. I think anyone reading my blog would get a fairly clear picture of where I am; your question has all the sincerity of someone who asks "So, have you stopped beating your wife yet?"

Elementary playground stuff.

So your answer is, "no." Thank you for schooling me.

Hmmmm... and there is the judgment I was anticipating .... It puts a strain on my humility being this right all the time. ;)

"Andrew. Do you believe that Jesus Christ is your Lord and Savior?" (Anon)

Likely. Ever read Andrew's stuff? take some time and do some studying on the site...he's a genuine Christian in my opinion.

As for those that have to lurk 'undercover' or in the 'dark' - they will be brought to the light at some point (how's that for sound judgment).

Wow. It seems Christians dont need the secular world to persecute them, they do fine on their own. No wonder terms like "born again", "emergent" and the like are used, nobody wants to be associated with the "nuts" and frankly I cant blame them lol.

I heard a funny one and I think I will dedicate it to anonymous.

"Rather than being born again, why dont you just grow up."

I think what I find most interesting is that Anon believes he/she is right to make a judgment on my relationship to God, in a negative way, based on my not answering in a way that he/she felt appropriate. That seems like an awful lot of power that anon has pulled over to his/her side of the table. What if Anon and God are not seeing eye to eye on the issue of me?
