What is your theological worldview?

This is an interesting quiz I found on another blog. I am sure it is in no way scientific, but I would say that it pegged me pretty well. I would probably be labeled a postmodern/emergent. Definitely putting Charismatic at the bottom of my list was spot on. I am surprised even 11 % of my theology could go there (must be the subliminal influence of growing up in charismatic circles).

The strong holiness end comes from growing up on Keith Green music. :)

I have no idea what Neo Orthodox even means.

The more I learn about reformed theology, the more it gives me the willies. They are brothers in Christ, but too depressing.

I disagree with the author's definition of postmodern. I in no way feel alienated from older forms of church, nor would most post moderns (I think). I find the reverence and touch of mysticism refreshing.

Anyway, give it a whirl and post your outcome in the comments section.
You scored as Emergent/Postmodern. You are Emergent/Postmodern in your theology. You feel alienated from older forms of church, you don't think they connect to modern culture very well. No one knows the whole truth about God, and we have much to learn from each other, and so learning takes place in dialogue. Evangelism should take place in relationships rather than through crusades and altar-calls. People are interested in spirituality and want to ask questions, so the church should help them to do this.

well, this is me according to this guy. Like you, I disagree with the comment on being alienated from older forms of church, especially since Catholicism is 2nd highest on the list for me!

I also question why categories like Atheist or Agnostic aren't on there (of which, given a majority of middle "I don't know" answers from me, I'm probably more of the latter than anything). Now I feel guilty for not being 100% Catholic.

I took the quiz many moons ago. It labeled me a Weslyan with Emergent a close 2nd. I am at work and can not access it right now, but I know some views of mine have changed.

I was surprised that Catholic came up so low for me. I think they focused on questions of Mary and Icons. Those may be more visible distinctions, but I don't think that is what makes a Catholic Catholic. 'Course what the heck do I know.

I wish it would give more of an explanation as to how it calculates. I would like to know what the hell is going on in your theology, Brook, that you score higher than me as a charismatic. I thought 11% was embarrassing. We need to have an intervention for you before you start sending checks off to Benny!

I think I must have done something strange with my answers, because my overall numbers are higher. Anyway, it would be interesting to see how certain things were weighted. I felt like the caveman on the Geico commercial for some of the questions: "Umm...what?"

For some of the categories, if you answered strongly, it seemed to have a major effect. My answer about the Pope probably pulled my Catholic score down. I am guessing that maybe Andy's answer about worship music pulled his charismatic score down (all together now: "They fight in the city, they run on the wall...blow a trumpet in zion...")

So what does that make me? A Wesleyan Postmodern Fundy who attends a Baptist church?

Brook could be an emergent Catholic Wesleyan who attends the nearest book store.

Andy could be a part of the neo-orthodox emergent holiness movement.

I am curious what one would have to say to have emergent NOT come up towards the top. How could Jon be high on Fundamentalist AND Emergent? In fact, Jon scored kinda high in everything... very well rounded.
